Question on strategy 70

HI Experts,

I have created a new strategy with the Requirement Type for Independent Requirement of strategy 70 and Requirement Type for Customer Requirement of strategy 40 (KSV).

I want to know whats the reason that the PIR of material with planning at sub-assembly level does not get reduced with Goods Issue of this material for production order of Final Assembly material. Can anyone give the business reason for this?

The underlying customizing behind demang management is not so simple.

If you are trying to make any change on the customizing, I suggest you to first go through the FAQ and consulting notes listed on the following document:

Note 47045, which is listed on this document, provides the following indicator:

 If you want to consume planned independent requirements with customer requirements, the consumption indicator (ZUVKZ) of the planning requirements class and the assignment indicator of the customer requirements (VPZUO) in table T459K must be identical.
