Hi Prathish,
Hope you are doing good.
Nice to hear from you again.
This is quite a general issue. Yes, you will first need to maintain end to end SSL.

Also download the httpwatch tool (free from www.httpwatch.com) and send across the trace of this issue. More information is available in: note 1558903 - How To Trace a Portal Scenario Using HttpWatch.
Kind Regards,

Hi Prathish,
As mentioned by Sriram, Do give the Backend system Internet exposed hostname not the physical ones in the System connection of your ESS MSS services and do maintain same in JCOs and System Landscape of portal.
And Once that is confirm check your SSO or single sign on setup and do create Certificates based on your External hostnames only and exchanged in both systems.
This should resolve the issue.
Let us know if it doesnot resolve the issue.
Regards,
Ram

Hi Prathish,
AS your using a web dispatcher is it available over internet, check if the firewall is opened to allow the traffic to that ip and also normally the url is mapped to a virtual name using a Load balance-rs like F5 or Cisco. Check with your network/Security team this has been enabled.
And over the network is the /irj/portal enabled or with port as Port is kept hidden over internet.
Let us know the details.
regards,
Ram
