Maintaining the Location Type for a location in SNC

A plant was setup in ECC as a plant when it should have been a DC. It was sent over to SNC as a Plant(location type 1001) when it should have been a DC(location type 1002).  We tried to CIF the plant(now a DC) back over after it was changed to a DC in ECC but the location type did not change on the location.

SNC location maintenance does not allow to change the location type on a location.

Any Ideas how the location type can be updated from 1001 to 1002?

Hi Terry,

Please run program /sapapo/change_loctype to change the location type.

Hi Terry,

You need to delete location in SNC first then again CIF the locationas DC to SNC.

To delete location in SNC:

1) Mark location for deletion flag (in transaction code:/N/SAPAPO/LOC3)

2) Execute report /SAPAPO/DELETE_LOCATIONS to delete the location which is marked with deletion flag.

Now CIF the DC from ECC to SNC.
