Preparation of tables for data transfer failed with flash icon

Former Member

Dear All,

I'm facing an issue with SAP TDMS.

Trying to execute Time and Company Code scenario, the "Preparation of tables for data transfer failed" trigger job canceled and display flash icon on TDMS package.

Does someone already get this issue?

I found some help on SAP SCN:

SAP Note: 1634482 / But my user has SAP ALL on all the TDMS systems (Sender / Receiver / Central)

Increase abap/heaplimit default value => It is done

Kind Regards,

Benjamin Bourrel

Hello Benjamin,

Check for dumps or system logs in all systems and update some more info regarding the error messages. Check in extended process monitor and update logs of sub-activity, you may also check note number 1922692, if it is applicable to you.

Thanks

Dear Anita,

Thank you for this feedback, however the SAP note is not applicable.

For your information, i already get all the expected roles on my user.

This is why i don't understand why this issue occurs.

When i chek the SM21, i got some job in error:

CNV_MBT_NOTRANSFER_SET_PCL

CNV_MBTCNV_MBT_PEM_START

Any idea?

Hi Benjamin,

Could you please check  all the sub-activities for the main activity 'Validation of SAP Application Tables'.

Please provide the job log information of all the sub-activities here not just the failed one.

Also please check for any related short dump / failed job in the sender as well as receiver system.

In general such issues have known to be occurring mostly in case of missing authorizations for the TDMS RFC user in one of the participating systems.

Can you please also provide some information on the roles assigned to your RFC user in the sender, control and receiver systems.

Thanks,

Rajesh

Dear all,

Thank you for this feedback,

@Anita, there is no dump on the central and control systems.

However i get two dumps on the sender systems:

DDIC_TYPE_REF_ACCESS_ERROR (Program Name: CNV_MBT_NODATA_SET)

@Rajesh, on my sender system i get one job in error:

CNV_MBT_NODATA_SET_SND

Log: Internal Session terminated with a runtime error

My user has a SAP All in each system, and also all the TDMS authorization recommended with RFC authorization (SAP_SM_S_RFCACL / SAP_S_RFCACL)

Otherwise, i generate RFC destination with my user on TDMS

Benjamin

Upload both the dumps here. Looks like there is some inconsistency in one of the table structure in sender system.

Hello,

See below in the dump--

Error analysis

There is an error in the structure description of the Dictionary type

"SI_COLFILER". The type references the type "DFKKCOLFILE_P_W".

Error type: "referred type not found"

You need to correct the related structure to fix the issue.

Thanks,
Rajesh

Hello Benjamin,

Check the structure of table DFKKCOLFILE_P_W and make sure the structure is consistent and table is active. This issue may occur in case this table is not active.

Thanks

Dear Rajesh,

After check and re-activate the structure DFKKCOLFILE_P_W, i'm facing a new issue with another structure, DFKKREP06.

Badly, i already activated today, i check the consistence and i didn't see any problem related to this table or structure through se11.

Did you already get this kinf of issue?

Regards,

Benjamin

Hi Benjamin,

Please check the related structure DFKKREP06_S. Try re-activating this and then re-run the TDMS activity. This should mostly fix the issue.

In case the problem is persisting, please attach the latest dump.

Thanks,

Rajesh
