Now i want to do some modifications in travel applications.

1. Which version of NWDS i should install ?

2. Is there any difference in installation procedure comparing to 7.0 ?

Thanks in Adance,

Alex

based on sp version of your portal, nwds version should  be 7.31 sp+5

for new nwds, no installation needed, just download and unzip.

the ide is quite different from version 7.

Hi,

This note explains the details: 1791485. "For example: You are using SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SP 4. You have to install SAP NetWeaver 7.31 EHP1 SP 9"

As you can see in the example there is a +5 SP level difference.

Main installation steps can be found on the NWDS 7.3 site.

Thank you very much Jun & Peter.

Can i directly modify a DC (Example : travel DC) and delpoy it using latest compactable NWDs version ?

Or Do i need to perform some activities to modify it when it comes to 7.3 nwds ?

Thanks In Advance,

  Alex

Hi Alex,

I assume it was developed in 7.0 as you were asking questions about the difference between 7.0 and 7.4.

FYI 7.0 DCs need to me migrated if want to deploy them on higher (7.1+) releases:

Hello Alex,

There is no dedicated NWDS 7.40, the NWDS 7.31 is also to be used for NW 7.40.

Compared to 7.0, the 7.31 is slightly different, but you have to pay attention to the same things after the installation: workspace, JDK path and SAP AS Java server configuration.

Regards,

Peter
