Hi Experts

First of all thanks for your support on SAP APO issues.

Today customer came up with one new question, don't know is it possible through APO or not, need your valuable comments.

Requirement:

Once order get confirmed, it is going to credit block, hence we can't perform the delivery till it is released. Is it possible to reschedule the dates of the Sale order with out effecting the confirmed quantity.

Will GATP supports this type of functionality with out effecting the confirmed quantities.

Kindly provide your valuable thoughts on this new requirement.

regards

Sudhakar

Hi Sudhakar

Order confirmation includes the quantities as well as the confirmed date. It is a combination of confirmed quantity and date on which the material can be given to the order.

So technically, yes - you can reschedule the dates in the sales order but the confirmation of the order line item will depend on whether the material is available on the changed date - material availability date (calculated based on the requested delivery date).

HI Sudhakar,

Rescheduling of a sales order is SAP standard. You should be able to identify relevant SAP Help documentation on it. If you go to VA02 and take an ATP check, depending on the available quantity and material availability dates your order gets rescheduled and the schedule lines will get updated. The same happens in BOP too.

If your requirement is to put the orders to a future dates whenever there is a credit block, you need to identify a custom program to change the Requested delivery datre of the order so that it does an ATP check within the order to push it to future and update the schedule lines correctly. or you can also do it manually. It depends how your user would like to proceed on this.
