Using Lumira for SAP ERP on Max DB

Hi,

I would like to know what are the ways Lumira can acquire data from SAP ERP on Max DB. Please note that there is no SAP BI setup (SAP Business Objects or SAP BW or SAP HANA).

Please suggest if Lumira can be used in this case.

• Use Free Hand SQL option, Lumira desktop supports MaxDB 7.7. You need to install the driver made available by SAP. (I have not tried it yet. PAM mentions about it.)

• Use SAP MaxDB JDBC driver "sapdbc.jar" from a JAVA application means create a Data access extension and then use it in SAP Lumira External Data source. (My preferred option).

Thanks Tammy. What you shared is better of doing it. I thought the question is about directly connecting to stand alone maxDB database.

If SAP ERP onMaxDB .. infoset or query is the way to go and the integrating with Lumira JCO route.
