Hi,
After Starting SAP MMC Console Disp+work.exe-Request Handling Without Progress.

SAP Net weaver 7.40

In Below Image specifies the System Information

In below images specifies the error we are facing

Please Provide me solution for this .

Hi Mugundhan,

On your current issue found SAP Notes  2127362 - Known regressions in kernel 7.42 patch level 38

1802333 - Finding information about regressions in the SAP kernel

&  2107721 - SAP NetWeaver kernel 741/742: List of supported ABAP versions

shows issue with kernel 742 patches,so with reference of above notes i suggest you to downgrade with lower release or wait for kernel 743 or 8.04 .

Check the work process trace file (dev_w0) for additional information.

Stop the instance and restart Windows and start SAP.

If it fails to start provide the dev_w0 trace file.

With all i also suggest you to raise SAP OSS, issue related with kernel 742 patch 28.

For your ref follow SAP Note  2089976 - Known regressions in kernel 7.42 patch level 28

Have you checked & getting same issue after restart of the instance ? Kindly confirm.

For kernel patch i think you need to wait for some more days to get/apply updated one.

Can you check the value of rdisp/queue/use_events_for_dispatching parameter? Also please upload dev_w* trace file for analysis.

As per search at my end you're already on the latest available patch 28,Now you need to follow suggested SAP note 1931675 - IP multicast configuration for dispatcher wakeup mechanism

from my earlier reply.

Kindly follow above note and revert if any issue persists.

    I checked the Note-1931675.I done a IP Multicast Configuration test.

    Self test Ok.

Thanks for your response .

Initially server is working good suddenly disp+ work it getting error . I have not changed anything .I am getting the error after that only I tried apply kernel patch but did not applies.

Hi,

Request Handling Without Progress.

First you need to patch your existing kernel with the latest available at SMP as already suggested above.

If still issue persists than you could follow SAP Notes   1950465 - Request handling without progress

&  1931675 - IP multicast configuration for dispatcher wakeup mechanism

and follow recommendations from these.
