Hi All
We are planning our future landscape for SAP Work Manager 6.2 installation.
We want to clarify the scenarios, their availability and their requirements
We would like to have three scenarios:
1. Base SAP Work Manager 6.2 with LAM
2. Crew Management
3. SAP Customer Service
From Installation Guide we have this note:
There are different deployment executable files for Work Manager:
Work Manager base
Work Manager with meter management
Work Manager with customer service
Once installed, the following Work Manager and component combinations are supported:
Base Work Manager
Base Work Manager + linear asset management (LAM)
Base Work Manager + customer service
Base Work Manager + customer service + LAM (SAP Note 1936034 says that Linear Asset Management (LAM) is not supported by SAP Customer Service 2.1 application.)
Base Work Manager + customer service + crew management
Base Work Manager + meter management
Base Work Manager + meter management + crew management
In order to mirror your current installation, it seems like only these component combinations are supported:
1. Base Work Manager + linear asset management (LAM)
OR
2. Base Work Manager + customer service + crew management
OR
3. Base Work Manager + customer service 2.1
We will need an understanding from you if the component installations are easily reversible / activate / disabled in the alternative scenarios.Could someone help with these doubts?
Many thanks in advanced
Felix,
Look at this blog for various deployment options.
http://scn.sap.com/community/mobile/blog/2014/12/04/work-manager-62
Only one deployment scenario can be used for one Work Manager application but if your requirement is to have all deployment scenarios available at the same time then why not create and deploy as 3 different application on SMP server ?
In order to use to use LAM you need to activate LOG_EAM_LINEAR_1 switch, which i think can't be reversed - you need to check this with your SAP Basis team.
On SAP side there are no issues in activating all the BC sets whether you use deployment scenario or not. Crew Management doesn't have any BC set to activate.
I hope your doubt is clarified.
Thanks
