Hi experts,
We are making a "test" enviroement (thru AWS cloud instance) and had a SAP B1, SQL server and B1if installed in the same AWS cloud m/c.
Most of the inbound ports are either well controlled or default closed from the AWS cloud m/c firewall. However, our IT service provider just told us to open 2 additional ports (1433 and 2099), in order to get intercompany working. Humm .. does it make sense ?? Since we have all components in one test server (=AWS cloud m/c) and how come we need 2 additonal ports opened to the world in order to get intercompany traffic flowing internally.

Hello Jimmy,
IPort 1433 is the SQL port and 2099 is used for the DI-Proxy. The firewall is blocking the TCP-ip communication also if this is local communication.

Our IT service provider changed their mind yesterday and agreed we do not need to open the two ports from AWS firewall to get the intercompany traffic flowing.
