Problem with communication channels in SAP PI

Former Member

Hi Experts,

We have a refresh problem with some communication channels in our SAP PI 7.4.

Sometime report that the interfaces are not running, we check the status of the communication channel and is "running". Then refreshing the channel (change description, for example, then save and activate the channel), the interfaces begin to function again.

Any suggestions? What could be happening?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Briger.

Hi Briger,

Is the problem with jdbc or file sender adapters?. Are you getting a large PI messages?, are they two or more channels polling in the same DB or the same filesystem path?.

There are some notes for before PI versions but i fon't remember for PI 7.4 right now, i recommend you to open an OSS note as well. The problem could be as well about memory or hard disk space requirements and PI tunnig. Check with your basis team if there is something out of normal values in the heap memory, hard disk space and so on.

Regards.

Hi Iñaki,

The problem is with adapter types: JMS, File and JDBC. We are not getting large messages.

Thanks for your answer. We will be checking with basis team.

Check for large message queue handling in SXMB_ADM, Check if message processing is slow in IE (SMQ2) or AE (RWB).

Hi Briger,

This problem can be addressed by increasing the POLL interval, please try this. Keep atleast 10mins of interval if there is no Business Objection.

Hi Briger,

The issue might be because of cache issues. Please refresh the cache and check the behavior.

thanks and Regards,

check Cache Status Overview in Integration Directory if you have any error

Cache might not be refreshed properly, Do a full cache refresh and if not a production system perform a restart and check.
