Product type and item type catch weight relevance do not match

Hello,

I am getting the following error message in EWM (related to IBD) when I post a goods receipt against process order in ECC. 'Product type and item type catch weight relevance do not match'. The inbound delivery is getting stuck in SMQ2 with this message.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? What was the resolution?

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

What item type do you use for inbound delivery?

Item type: IDPP

Perhaps you use CW-relevant Product, but item type IDPP doesn`t allow CW.

Apologies.. The item type is IDCW. It is CW enabled.

Go to MD product - /scwm/mat1 and on Storage tab check CW-relevance

The MD is setup correctly. Not sure if there is any missing config.

Check CW relevance for item type in spro:

Good day

We have a similar issue.

In our system the line item type for the CW product was IDCW.  When we however split them by batch into two sub-lines, the new lines defaulted to IDLV (instead of the expected IDCW).

So I think Alexander's diagnosis is spot on?

My question though...  What logic does EWM use to derive the item type for the sub-lines?  Because surely it should be the same as the 'parent' line item (IDCW in the case) ?

Please advise

Hi!

Check parameters here:

Thanks Alex

Since the table refers to the predecessor, it picked up the parent as IDCW and created the lines correctly as IDCW.
