Connecting ECC and BW to GRC 10.1

Hi Folks,

We need to connect our ECC and BW systems to our GRC 10.1. I've been looking for a document on what add-ons to install? I saw components like GRCPINW and GRCPIERP. Do I need to install them both in ECC and BW?

Our BW system is on 701 SP 8 (BASIS level), while the ECC is on 700 SP25 (BASIS level).

Also, is there a SAP Note that explains the dependency of the addons and the BASIS release of the systems to be connected like minimum patch level?

Dear ANG:

Please refer to SAP Note 1352498 - Support Pack Numbering - GRC Access Control.

The attachment will give you the equivalent Plug-in that you require based upon the Target System NW level and the GRC Support Pack Level.

For which Plug-ins to install on the target system, the rule is GRCPINW is ALWAYS required and GRCPIERP is required when the HR component is installed in the target system even if it is not being used.

There is a specific note for BI/BW:  SAP Note 1648106 - Any Restrictions Connecting GRC Access Control to a BW/BI System

Thanks for that note. I  just want to make sure that I got everything correct. Our GRC 10.1 has GRCFND_A V1100_731 SP07. So that means that the required addon components for the backend/satellite systems should be as follows:

Backend system	GRC 10.1 Add-on for Backend	Required SP level on Backend
ECC on BASIS release 700	GRCPINW V1100_700 SP07	- SAPKB70013 and SAPKW70013
	GRCPIERP V1100_700 SP07	- SAPKB70013, SAPKW70013, SAPKH60010, SAPKE60003
BW on BASIS release 700	GRCPINW V1100_700 SP07	- SAPKB70013 and SAPKW70013
BW on BASIS release 701	???	???
BW on BASIS release 710	GRCPINW V1100_710 SP07	- SAPKB71004 and SAPKW71004
BW on BASIS release 730	GRCPINW V1100_710 SP07	- no min. SP level requirment for BASIS 730
BW on BASIS release 731	GRCPINW V1100_731 SP07	- no min. SP level requirment for BASIS 731
BW on BASIS release 740	GRCPINW V1100_731 SP07	???

May I ask what version is applicable to our BW system whose BASIS release is on 701? It wasn't mentioned on the note. Are the GRCPINW V1100_700 SP07 and GRCPIERP V1100_700 SP07 downward compatible for backends with BASIS 701?

I got the values for the value on column "Required SP level on Backend" by checking the requirements of the add-on installation component on Marketplace.

Also, just to be clear, V1100 is for GRC10.1 and V1000 is for GRC 10.0, right?

Have you got solution for the installation Add-on AC10.1 for BW Basis 701 ? If so please provide me if you have followed any specific note to met pre-requisite
