Logical Entity Display question

Hi

I am using PD 16.5SP03 PL03 version. when i draw an entity in logical model:

1. It doesn't draw a line after displaying the name of the entity? how do i get it to draw a solid line right after the  entity name shows up?

2. It shows a small circle on the left of the attribute. how do i get rid of it? what does it convey?

Hi,

Your model options are probably set to Barker Notation (see Tools > Model Options).

Change it to Entity/Relationship should fix your issue.

I assume that your default notation is set to Barker. To change it, go to 'Apply User Profile' on the 'Tools' menu, and apply the appropriate Notation option. If you use both CDM and LDM, you may need to do this twice.

by the way, the little o you mentioned is actually a zero - it tells you that the attribute is optional. It may also show * for a mandatory attribute, or # for an attribute that is in the primary identifier.
