Hi,
can SLT move data from a HANA DB to another 3. party DB like Oracle ?
Thanks
Martin
Hi Former Member,
If the target is not a Net weaver supported DB, I am afraid its not possible.
Unfortunately, I don't have a proper documentation available to substantiate my stand.
May be you will have to think about DS as a solution.

Hi Martin,
Yes you can but usually it is the other way around so oracle is the source system and you move the data to HANA.
You can find detail information on SLT here:

Hi Des,
the question is, if the target system can be a thrid party DB like Oracle.
I had a look through the following documentation - I guess this is the newest:
Application Operations Guide
Document Version: 2.5 – 2015-01-21
http://help.sap.com/hana/SAP_Landscape_Transformation_for_SAP_HANA_Operations_Guide_en.pdf
Chapter "3.2.1 Creating a Configuration"
Paragraph "3. Specify Target System"
only mentioned two types of target systems:
A) Connection to SAP HANA System.
B) Connection to SAP System via RFC Connection
Also Chapter "7.12 How to change the settings of the DB connection to the target system?"
does not emphasis Oracle or other 3.party DB's as a target system.
-------->Are there some hidden features or I overlooked something ?<---------------
ThanXs
