HI,
I am back with a new question.

I have a few new dimension members for my entity dimension - PDO_ENT. I have created a hierarchy out of them, as so:

New
  members
Hierachy definition
SRV_PROV_TOT
SRV_PROV_ONDSRV_PROV_TOT
SRV_PROV_OSDSRV_PROV_TOT
SRV_PROV_GASSRV_PROV_TOT
SRV_PRV_FAHSRV_PROV_OND
SRV_PRV_LEKSRV_PROV_OND
SRV_PRV_NGENSRV_PROV_OND
SRV_PRV_QALSRV_PROV_OND
SRV_PRV_YIBSRV_PROV_OND
SRV_PRV_AMLSRV_PROV_OSD
SRV_PRV_BRIMSRV_PROV_OSD
SRV_PRV_GBRBSRV_PROV_OSD
SRV_PRV_KARSRV_PROV_OSD
SRV_PRV_MARSRV_PROV_OSD
SRV_PRV_MUKSRV_PROV_OSD
SRV_PRV_NIMSRV_PROV_OSD
SRV_PRV_RIMSRV_PROV_OSD
SRV_PRV_SGENSRV_PROV_OSD

When I try to run a report for this hierarchy, it gives me an MDX error. See Doc1.

If I run the report for a base member - say, SRV_PRV_QAL or SRV_PROV_GAS, the report runs. But not for the top node SRV_PROV_TOT, or the other 2 second level nodes SRV_PROV_OND or SRV_PROV_OSD.

There are no member formulae so notes 1810506 or 1809823 cannot be applicable.

I am working on BPC 10.0 NW Sp03

Any ideas?

regards

Shrikant

I deleted the nodes and recreated new ones.. it worked. The application might have corrupted the original members somehow.

Hi Shrikant

Try following options-

1) Try process dimension

2) UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE

3) Delete parent node , re create it

Hi,

As explained in following note try to check Hierarchy from backend.

2127222  - UJO_READ_EXCEPTION_018 and MDX error: "Value & for characteristic& unknown" when selecting specific hierarchy node of the dimension in BPC report

Hope it helps..
