OUI version in invalid, Upgrading 11.0.2 to 11.0.4

Hello,

I am upgrading Oracle 11.0.2 to 11.0.4 on SUSE Linux x86_64 using SAP EHP7 .

I have downloaded SAP11204P_1411-20010781 and SAP11204P_1408-20010781 from market place and the installer 11ginstall-11204-043-complete.zip from 1524205 note. Also, downloaded the Oracle 11.0.4, 51047701 part 1-6.

Whenever I try to run the RUNINSTALLER_CHECK, it gives the error: "OUI version is invalid. OUI version in stage is 11.2.0.2.0. OUI version expected is 11.2.0.4.0." Exiting with exit code 5.

Please advice.

Hi Rachit.

Please follow below checks:

1.) Make sure you extraced the new 11.2.0.4 Oracle Software installation kit (DVD 51047701 part 1-6) to disk

2.) Extracted and copied over 11ginstall-11204-043-complete.zip to the location of 11.2.0.4 Oracle Software installation location (from point 1)

3.) Execute RUNINSTALLER_CHECK directly from exctracted 11.2.0.4 Software installation kit.

If it is still failing, extract again 11.2.0.4 Software ad leave out point 2.

Are you using the right packages or the ones you used to install/upgrade Oracle to 11.2.0.2?

Check the contents of RUNINSTALLER_CHECK

You need to update OUI version from existing 11.2.0.2.0 to 11.2.0.4.0,after that try to run RUNINSTALLER_CHECK to continue the process.
