SAP PCo 15 - PCo Management Host not starting.

Hello Experts,

After installing SAP PCo 15, 'PCo Management Host' service is not starting. I see the following message

and in Event viewer, i see the following message.

The SAP Plant Connectivity (ManagementHost) service failed to start due to the following error:

The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Services NetTcpPortSharing & OpcEnum are running.

I tried with PCo 15.0 SP0 and 15.0 SP03.

Am i missing anything?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hello,  I just ran into this same issue:

I was finally able to correct it by just increasing the services "timeout parameters" on the windows server.  Had to add a new entry to the registry

It may not work for you, but an option if you want to try.  (I got the information from a search on the 1053 error)

Hi Shridhar,

Even after following the SAP note if you couldnt succeed in starting the PCo Management host then it looks like a bug in SP03. Can you a try reporting the OSS ticket on MFG-PCo Component?

Hi Shridhar,

1. Please confirm that the configured ManagementHost Port number (default as 50050) is not already in use by another application or service on the PCo Server.

2.  Please review Sap Note 2121969 and apply, and then determine if this is resolves the issue.

1. PCo is running to 50050

2. I have made the changes as per 2121969 but still no luck.

If i install PCo 2.3 it works fine.

Issue resolved. Now its working.

It was to do with Message Queuing Service.

Hello Sam,

Using remove features wizard, i removed Message Queuing, Message Queuing Services, and Message Queuing Server

Then, using Add Feature wizard added, the Message Queuing, Message Queuing Services, and Message Queuing Server

It started working.
