Connect to jupeai-pre:80 failed: NIEHOST_UNKNOWN(-2)

Hi,

we have soap to http adapter scenario.

we are getting below mentioned error in sxmb_moni:-

HTTP client code 417 reason Connect to jupeai-pre:80 failed: NIEHOST_UNKNOWN(-2)

i am not able to understand what is this?

please suggest something.

Hi Deb,

Hope you are doing good.

Have you activated IPv6 in this environment as this is a usual issue. As explained in note 1915937, you ned to check the hosts file..

note 1915937 has all the details..

Hi Debanjan

NIEHOST_UNKNOWN means that the hostname resolution has failed. If jupeai-pre is a valid hostname, ask your basis team to check if the PI host server is able to resolve the IP address.
