Search help in read only field in ALV

Hello,

I have an ALV. I try to add a search help for one of the fields (read only field).

I set in the context the attribute 'Input Help Mode' to 'Dictionary Search Help' and set the name of the search help in attribute 'Dictionary Search Help'. The problem is that it is only works to when I set the field to be editable. When the field is read only, what I need, the search help not shown.

It is possible to set search help for read only field?

Hi Ednri,

If you want the user to select only the predefined values , you can use Drop down instead of trying yo assign F4 search help to read only input field.

I think it's impossible. Another workaround is creating a button for your search help on the ALV dynamically.

I think this is refer to input fields, not in ALV. 

I talk about read only fields in ALV.

I think it's a little bit weird,  because in ALV in dynpro screens it is possible.
