Hello Everyone,
I am trying to configure TREX server with SAP DMS for searching the text within an original in a sandbox.
When i Upload Originals in DMS they are getting stored in a content Repository DMS_C1_ST. Storage type: SAP System Database.
I have done all the necessary configurations which Includes tcodes SRMO, SKPR07,SKPRO6, Assign Relevant MIME types etc.,
I have following Questions:
1) In SKPR07 when i click diagnosis All are green except two rows which appears in red .
a) Language must be defined as a mandatory attribute in SDOKCLPROP
b) NOCATID
2) Do TREX search has the capability to search the documents stored in SAP System Database apart from Content server. Right now there is no Content server in place.
Please let me know your comments or suggestions where i might have forgotten something to configure or suggest me the best way.
Regards
Praveen

Hi Umar farooq,
I got the same issue. and then i have deleted all the index category, step by step in a sequential order.
And then after when i indexed orderly as mentioned earlier, It has worked.
I am not sure but you might be missing some step.
Otherwise try indexing using Search engine Services.( SES_ADMIN ) if possible, and make sure you clean all the index category step by step before using SES_ADMIN.
Hope this will help.

Ahmed

Dear Ahmed,
Thanks for you response.
I have follow all the steps as per your guidance, and also create the communicate user and assign the role “SAP_BC_TREX_ADMIN". I have tried to search TREXAdmin.exe but not found.
I have also clean the entries from skpr07. Please find below the screen short.
Your usual co-operation will be appreciated.
Thanks & Regards,
Umar Farooq
Hi,
1) Login to the Application server where TREX is installed. Look for the path /usr/sap/<TREX SID>/TREXAdmin.exe.
-----------------
2) Even after you clean up the entries from SKPR07. you still have the entries in tables, which need to be cleaned up.
As you said you have run the report in background RSTIRIDX. Please stop the report and start up the cleaning process again.
Follow this cleanup process and try to index it again through SKPR07. I am sure it will work.
And also Run this report
After this start configuring SSR, Defining Category... again.
Let me know if this is useful.
Regards
Ahmed.
Dear Ahmed,
I am very thankful to you for your immediate response. I have also search again this TREXadmin.exe file but not found. I have found this file from my file server. "F:\usr\sap\TRX\TRX50\TrexAdmin.bat"
Deleted all index categories from the mentioned table.
I have execute the “clean up table entries” on t.code SKPR07.
I would like to inform you that we are not using the content server. I am not sure is it necessary or not.
Waiting for your response.
Thanks & Regards,
Umar Farooq.
