Hi,
I follow this article to setup and configure SAP Fiori.
But I meet some strange issue.
I create RFC Destination KSCCLNT001
But when I try to login Fiori Launchpad Designer via:
http://<hostname>:<port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_upb_admn/main.html
It shows fails error as below.
And also try to login launchpad but I can't find mycontact app. Anyone knows this kind of issue?
Eric
Hi Eric,
do following:
- Change it to Trusted relationship, in your RFC destination
- Hit F12 in Chrome to capture console logs
- Check SU53 and Gateway logs for any errors

Hi Kiran,
Actually, I follow these steps in article.
We also need to add some basic Fiori authorizations.
I decided to add them to the SAP_SD_MYCONT_APP as this user already has this role (not so nice maybe, but this is just used as a demo).
So on in transaction PFCG authorization tab of SAP_SD_MYCONT_APP go to Change Authorization Data under the Maintain Authorization Data and Generate Profiles section.
Select Edit > "Insert authorization(s) > From template..."
I choose the following two (one by one):
After this again Save and Generate.
They should be saved and generated.
Actually, I confuse if it's a right way in a combine frontend and backend RFC connect according to the article.
You need S_RFCACL on the trusting system, check this link to get some knowledge on trusted system and trusting system.
http://www.sapnet.ru/abap_docu/ABENSMT1_2.htm
If you have issues with rfc destination, hit CTL+F4 to see authorization issues.
Are you still facing issues?

Kiran
Hi Kiran,
After go through the doc you provide, it's better for me to understand well S_RFCACL. But I have one question about a combine frontend and backend. I don't have a seperate client and server. How to configure RFC within a combine frontend and backend.
only Create a trusted RFC between Gateway and Backend system.
a combined frontend and backend system setup.
So I only created in transaction SM59 an RFC connection to itself.
It should have the nameconvention: <SID>CLNT<CLIENT>.
And in the Logon & Security tab it should use the current user.
KSCCLNT001 -- should it should be both of client and server?
Eric
Eric,
From your statement - if I transform it correctly, combined is basically embedded approach (where frontend UI gateway components and OData backend components reside on the same system) and Central Hub approach is separated systems.
If everything is on the same system, you could have just used LOCAL but it's ok to have a self-pointed RFC destination.
Please close this thread and open a new one if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Kiran
