Hi There ,
I am trying to create a planning scope using VMP_MAINTAIN.
Steps :
- I have a .rh file . The materials used in the .rh file are created in ERP.
- I create a document , add the .rh file as the original and then link the material to the document .
- Now I open VMP_MAINTAIN and choose assembly , add the document key , provide the plant , BOM usage , and a change number .
When I press of save and start planning , i get an error that " originals does not exists for the document " . But I see that originals are already there in the document .
is it some bug which I have to solve by some note ? Kindly advice .
Thanks ,
Abhishek.
Abhishek,
I believe the reason you are having this issue is because the RH originals were not created by Visual Enterprise Generator as a part of the integrated conversion process. Therefore, the RH originals have not been properly tagged with the material IDs required for VMP_MAINTAIN. Visual Enterprise Generator is a requirement for Visual Manufacturing Planner.

Ken

Hello Abhishek,
Please check if you have maintained the below search sequence customizing, VMP uses it to get the original from the document.
SPRO->Cross-Application Components->Document Management->Visual Enterprise Generator->Define Search Sequence for Viewable File.
Here you have to maintain below entries:
DRAW Viewer BLANK 0 (your document type) RH BLANK
DRAW Digital Mockup BLANK 0 (your document type) RH BLANK
MARA Viewer BLANK 0 (your document type) RH BLANK
MARA Digital Mockup BLANK 0 (your document type) RH BLANK
