Hi Chandra,

Realignment is at MPOS level and through this you can generate new CVCs based on existing CVCs. In Copy option no new CVCs are created but its a copy of CVC within a planning area.

Please go through below link for detailed info - Its very well explained here

Realignment - Master Data Setup - SAP Library

Copying of Data - Master Data Setup - SAP Library

Also you can go through this document on how to use this -

Hope it helps.

Hi Chandra Reddy,

The realignment is used when you need to change one or more characteristics from the data that you have in your planning area.

Check this document related to realignment:

The Characteristic value combinations are maintained in the Master Planning Object Structures. Realignment itself works at this level. The system creates new characteristic value combinations based on selected values from existing combinations.  It then copies the data from the old combinations to the new ones.  The data of all key figures in all planning areas based on the master planning object structure is copied.

Also read this SAP Note: 492399
- Realignment tool - Consulting

Now, "copy" is not simple to be defined. You can copy a Version, you can copy most of the objects: planning book, key figures, etc..

Kind Regards,

Mariano

HI,

Realignemnt . Existing product - A1 B1 has the demand forecasted, new product launched A1B2. So in realingnemnt we will mention A1B1 as source and B2 as destination, which will copy the data and also create the CVC.

Copy - Data is copied from one CVC to another CVC, no CVC creation.
