hi sap gurus,please give me ur inputs on the following. points will be rewarded for the good ones.

1.How subtotal in pp is related to credit limit?

2.what is difference between transport and task?

3.How variant is used in reporting?

Hi,

Transport of sap system components from one system to another by transport request. Each transport consists of an export process and an import process. The export process reads objects from the source system and stores them in data file at operating system level. The import process reads objects from the data file and writes them to the database of the target system.

Task: Task contains the details of the activity which you have done in IMG. You have to release the task first using SE09 and SE10 before transporting to other servers.

Hi ravisankar reddy,

1.How subtotal in pp is related to credit limit?

A). In Pricing Procedure subtotal A--- komp-cmpre .... mainly updates the credit value for base price, because of this main key setting u are getting warning/error message in order documents when credit limit exceeds.

Dear Ravishankar,

Here are the answers to your queries:

1) Subtotal in PP is related to credit Limit because from subtotal only the net value of sales order will take to credit check and then it is found out whether it is in limit or exceeded. Accordingly the order will be released or blocked.

2) Task is transferred first and then then the task then transfer request.You have to release the task first using SE09 and SE10 before transporting to other servers.

3) Well Variant is nothing but variety offered for reports. It is a way of sorting out the exisitng data and hence reports are sorted and filtered on the basis of different vaiants. Its like asking you how many males are there in India, How many are above 18 which becomes a variant. How many are engineers ( another variant) etc.

1) in PP- subtotal the net value of sales order will take to credit check whether it is in limit or exceeded then the order will be released...

2)while transport the request for one client to another client first we will transfer the task then transfer request....

3) while taking reports, variant will have lot of alternatives.. select one which you want.. for example... sales distributorwise, sales model wise....etc...
