Deploying Custom Fiori application

Hello Team,

We have developed a custom SAPUI5 application, which is to be deployed on the Fiori launchpad.

Please guide us with steps to follow to accomplish the same.

We are into process of implementing Add-On Assembly kit 4.00, but still not familiar with the whole process flow.

And we have cordova based UI5 application, please guide us deploying the same on Fiori launchpad.

But if you are trying to deploy your cordova app to Fiori launchpad you can't do it since Cordova is a hybrid app and Fiori is a web app.

Is Add-On Assembly Kit comes into picture in this process, as we have been told to certify the custom Fiori application.

And any workaround can you suggest for cordova based UI5 application.

- You have to create SAPUI5 app and deploy it in Gateway server. Since the hybrid app you developed is based on web technologies you should be able to reuse the code for the web application.

We have implemented camera plugin in the custom UI5 application using cordova.

Please guide us on going forward with deploying the SAPUI5 app and then reusing the code for web application.

Hi Ajay,

You can't use camera if you are running it as a web application. What I can suggest is run Fiori launchpad inside Fiori client hence you can access camera. You can create a custom Fiori Client (SAP Custom Fiori Client - YouTube, ) and add the camera plugin you used and try. But also not that Fiori client is developed for standard Fiori apps, so I am not sure how well it goes with a custom Fiori like app.

Not actually any error message, we are not fully familiar with Add-On assembly kit usage.

We have installed the same on Gateway server.

What should be the further process for certification?

Hi,

Maybe this link will be helpful for you in packaging and certifying.

Also, first you need to have your namespace registered with SAP.Once you have it, you can create the .pat files using the AAK kit.

Also, if you are a registered as reselelr with SAP, you can ask sap to send a interactive AAK tutorial for referrence.
