Serialize Format check

I am trying to create a format mask check on the Serialize activity (PR550).  Is there a standard way of doing this or is a custom Activity hook/extension linked to the Serialize Activity required?

Hi Paul!

Online help for Validation Mask Maintenance mentions that it can be used for checking SFC format during serialization, though there is no step-by-step instruction for this scenario.

You can try to follow steps from this page but skipping steps about datatype assignment and hooking EN521 at site level to PRE_SERIALIZE point.

However, if you are OK with SFC numbers to automatically generated, you can set Serialize pattern of Next Nunber Maintenance and change GENERATE_ID activity rule of PR550 activity to true.
