SLT replication for DD* tables mandatory?

Hi,

If we have real time replication scenario then is it mandatory to keep DD* tables under real time replication always? Or we can stop after the initial load.

Also, what are the negative impacts if we do not load DD* tables after initial loads.

DD* tables  are the dictionary tables contains the definitions of the tables and structures that exist in the source system. If you stop replication and if there are any structure changes for a table, then it is not replicated to HANA. This will create incosistency between the ECC and HANA systems. HANA should have latest information about table and Structure changes and replication of these DD* tables takes care of that.

The DD* tables are only required that you have a graphical selection within the HANA Modeler.

You could stop them and start all tables from the LTRC transaction or via SQL on HANA.
