SMDT Or SMIN

Hi,

lately we had a discussion what transaction type should be used if I find an error/bug in the application with the help of a test case. In my understanding i would use the transaction type SMDT to create a new incident. But some people say SMDT is to use when the test case itself is not correct and that I should have used SMIN instead.

Can someone help me out?
