Hello Aman,

the dispatcher reports:

*  LOCATION    SAP-Dispatcher dtdcerpdev_DE1_00 on host dtdcerpdev

*  ERROR       mserrno received (MSENOTUNIQUE)

Could you please attach message server trace dev_ms to check, what reports the message server for this instance?

Hello Alok,

thank you, then this is not the main problem. Did you already check the settings according to the note "628131 - SAP MaxDB/liveCache operating system parameters on UNIX"?

Hello Aman,

thanks, the database error remained the same. I have asked someone from the database team to have a look, could you please compress and send the logs with diag_pack as per note 826037 point 12?

826037 - FAQ: SAP MaxDB/liveCache support

point 12:

dbmcli -d <database_name> -u <dbm_operator>,<password> diag_pack

Hello Alok,

the main problem you can see in the trace KnlMsgArchive.txt.zip (47.9 K):

                               2015-02-03 10:29:38 ERR IOMan          5:  Failed consistency check on read page,BLOCK_NO=125210,VOLUME_ID=2,VOLUME_TYPE=data,_FILE=IOMan_Volume+noPIC.cpp,_LINE=429

This is the same time stamp like in your first attached dev_w0:

C Tue Feb  3 10:29:38 2015

C  *** ERROR =>   execute() of C_0001, #rec=0, rc=1, rcSQL=-602 (POS(1) System error: unexpected error)

[dbsdbsql.cpp 1715]

The database has a physical corruption at least in page 125210. To explore any further corruption you can do a consistency check of the whole database (note 9404209 and solve the corruptions as described in note 839333, basicly a restore/recovery from a valid backup (do not  having the corruption) is necessary.

The issue seems more likely due to the database.

C  *** ERROR =>   execute() of C_0001, #rec=0, rc=1, rcSQL=-602 (POS(1) System error: unexpected error)

[dbsdbsql.cpp 1715]

C  *** ERROR => EXECUTE on connection 0, rc=-602 (POS(1) System error: unexpected error)

[dbslsdb.cpp  7460]

C  sc_p=0x2abae889e0e8,no=1,idc_p=0x2abae8965050,con=0,act=1,slen=74,smax=256,#vars=0,stmt=0x19f05430,table=DDNTT

C  SELECT COUNT(*) INTO ? FROM DDNTT WHERE TABFORM <> 'J' AND TABFORM <> 'V' ;

B  ***LOG BYL=> DBQ action required because of database error

As you are using MaxDB, launch MaxDB Database Studio and check the Log area and Data are space and the status of the database.

Hi Alok,

Based on the logs I can suggest 2 things.

1) Please check whether validate kernel version and SPS installed for your Product.

2) Please also increase the virtual memory for the system.

Hi Alok,

As gaurav suggested, please check the swap space since the logs seems related to memory assignment.

Hi Alok,

Could you apply latest kernel patch on the SAP system as suggested earlier.

Hi Alok,

Warning: Swap space is configured quite small with 0 MB.

It should be configured with at least 20 GB on 64 bit systems.

See note 153641 for more information.

Could you confirm swap space on you system.If low try to modify the same to the recommended values from SAP as per SAP KBA 153641 and retry the process again.

Hope this will help you.

Hi Alok,

You said that you have restored backup on a different server or cloned a SAP system on different server. ?

What is your DB and what else have you done to adapt changes after the system restore ?

Can you share KnlMsg and other files, if your DB is MaxDB ?

From the logs, I can see that the after connecting to DB, your 1st query is not able to execute select statement with some unexpected error. Now, try to get the kernel from the source system from which you have restored or get a newer kernel of the same release, esp DBSL files.

Hi Alok,

From the dev_w logs could find the below line

ERROR => ThCallHooks: event handler db_init for event CREATE_SHM failed [thxxtool3.c  262]

Could you stop your system -> stop services -> clean memory -> then start services and system.

Nikhil
