Mandate field in VT01N transaction

Hi Friends,

Can you tell me how to make the screen field for VT01( Create Shipment ) mandatory through config. I tried with few variants  creation but wasnt sucessfull . i need to make few fields mandatory like shipping route, Shipping condition , Fwd Agent etc.

You can do this with a transaction variant.

just enter "transaction variant" into the search field on top right, then filter on Asset type Collaborative Document

Hi Jurgen,

Yes i can make the field madate  with the help of transaction variant. But i want to make the field mandatory for selected  Shipment type.  Not as a whole transaction

you can do this in a user exit, go SMOD and enter V56BMOD and click display, in the next screen double click function module EXIT_SAPLV56B_001 and then click the docu button
