Catch weight

Hello Experts,

I have a requirement to implement catch weight for inbound/outbound processes; i.e. I have a pallet which holds cases (nested HUs), so, when the pick warehouse task is created it should propose the source bin to pick the case (not propose the case as source to pick) and user manually picks the case (HU), next weight will be transferred to delivery.

What are the pre-requisites to activate catch weight and steps for implementing for this scenario. Thank you in advance.

Hi!

First read this:

Catch Weight - SAP Library

For you scenario try to use next settings in st.type:

Level of avail. Qty - Highest Level HU

HU picking Ctrl - Only Adopt Contents (Prod. and Lower-Level HUs) into Pick-HU

Thank you for your reply. Do we need to apply any patches at EWM side for catch weight as we do it ECC side.

If we activate catch weight at EWM side, will be there any impact on other processes.

As I know, we don`t.

CW is activated on Whse number and warehouse process type level, so you can use it safety.
