Hello,
my users are expecting to click on a part of a graph to filter automatically on this dataset (with results filtered shown in a datagrid).
example :
On the dashboard we have a pie-chart and a table. clicking on a portion of the pie-chart will automatically filter the data, shown in the table, accordingly to the portion I have clicked on.
I think that this behavior is not implemented in Lumira. Are there plans to add this functionality ? Can this be done ?
Thank you in advance
D.
when you select the area of the chart, there's a tool-tip saying "filter" or "exclude" - that's what you want.
note that it won't be a 'global filter' - it'll be specific to that chart (and the filter bar will display this accordingly). If you want a dataset-level filter, that should be set in the Prepare room.
Note that there's no dynamic linkage between charts right now. You'd have to use Input Controls for that.
regards,
H

Thank you both for your answers.
We have version 1.20. If I am right, the drill-down function is implemented in version 1.21. So we should update.
But... we are in connected mode to SAP HANA and "Create a custom hierarchy" is greyed out. Is this normal ? Would that not be available in connected mode.

D.
Yes that's right - When you connect in "Online" mode, the data modelling / enrichment options are limited, as the dataset isn't being replicated to the local desktop engine (which enables 'manipulation' ) and assume that 'semantics' have been modelled in the back-end.
(this is in itself problematic for HANA online, as we don't respect hana hierarchies very well, such as Geo information..)
You also can't mix online and offline data - yes, there are plans to enhance this during 2015.

H
