Actions between visualisations.

I am setting out on my Lumira journey after 5 years in Tableau, and need help already with what I thought should be a very simple functionality.

Scenario:

Single flat file of sales data by item by week.

Two visualisations created 1, Sale by category (bar view) 2, Sales over time by week and year (line chart)

Both views on a dashboard.

All I want to do it click on one bar in 1, and see the line in 2 change. SImple with actions in Tableau, can't see it in Lumira.

I do not want to use controls for this.

Only thing I can think of is using filters in reports - it's not the same as what you are asking but having filters across the top will filter both charts - see screen shot below:

The other option is input controls (but you said you didn't want to use that):

Thanks for the response.

I have to say that the filter option does limit the idea of going on a visual journey. The greatest successes I have had are where the individual can go on a journey through the dtata by just clicking on the visuals themselves.

Are you working at SAP, is this functionality on the request list?

Yes, i can confirm, this feature is planned but not implemented yet. I do not know of the timescales.
