Hi Experts ,
I want to know how the execution of ID and ESR starts and begins in PI .
Like first would be Sender agreement or sender channel then Interface determination...and so on ..how they are executed ?
And also it would be very helpful if some one explains me the how execution in adapter happens for eg like first would be FCC or module configuration ?
I want to know execution sequence in all adapters ?
Br,
Manoj Khavatkopp
Regarding message execution sequence in ID
1) Sender channel: Data will enter in PI and channel (adapter) converts the data in XML format from the original one based on the adapter used. Based on sender channel, corresponding sender agreement will be selected
2)Sender Agreement: Since the channel is already configured in sender agreement, message will be routed to corresponding sender agreement. Message will get the Sender details (Sender system, Sender interface and sender namespace) from the sender agreement.
3) Receiver Determination: Based on the sender details in sender agreement, message will be routed to correct receiver determination and receiver system will be decided for the particular message.
4) Interface determination: Based on the sender details and receives system selected in step 3, message will be routed to corresponding 'Interface determination'. In interface determination we select the interface mapping and hence, receiver interface. Here, we have all sender details and receiver details. Since, interface mapping is configured here, message mapping is executed in this step.
5) Receiver agreement: Based on the sender system and Receiver details (receiver system, receiver interface and namespace), message will be routed to corresponding receiver agreement.
Receiver channel is configured in receiver agreement.
6) Receiver channel: Channel configured in receiver agreement will convert the XML data into the corresponding format based on the adapter type selected in receiver channel and message will be routed to the target system.

Hi Manoj,
In response to your question #1, the journey of a PI message is very well explained here: Introduction to SAP XI Message Pipeline Processing | SAP NW Newbie .
A PI message goes through various pipeline steps which are explained in the above referred URL.
Hope it helps.
Regards,
Shahid Ahmed
