Hello,

I want to rename a system HR2 to HR1 with the new Rename procedure of SAP. During the Input Phase the following error occurs:

ERROR 2015-01-30 10:34:37.172

FCO-00011 The step CheckPathsAlreadyRenamedOnUnix with step key |offlineadjustment_dialogs|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|offlineadjustment_db|ind|ind|ind|ind|db|0|SBCOPY_ADA_DB|ind|ind|ind|ind|max|0|sdb_rename_database_dia|ind|ind|ind|ind|sdb_system_rename|0|sdb_rename_software_dia|ind|ind|ind|ind|RenameServerSoftware|0|sdb_software_checks_dia|ind|ind|ind|ind|checkSoftware|0|CheckPathsAlreadyRenamedOnUnix was executed with status ERROR .

The error occurs during input of the MaxdB SQL Schema. I have made all preparations to start the rename procedure.

Kind Regards

Hi Hartwig,

Can you please upload the sapinst.log and sapinst_dev.log to this discussion?

Hello James,

the problem is solved, I made an OSS-Message to SAP:

Dear Mr. Latz,

according the attached sapinst_dev.log there are two directories:

...

TRACE      2015-02-02 16:14:05.57 [??]

/sapdb/HR2, /sapdb/HR1 Only one path must exist at this time!

According to the Guide there is the point to:

Adapt the directories /sapdb/<SID>, /sapdb/clients/<SID>,  and

/sapdb/<SAP SID> to the system ID  of the target system using the

command mv.

That means there must be only be the target SID folders not the source

folders. If both exist the installer gets confused. So in case you

have copied the source folders to the target SID you can rename the

source folders to a different SID which is not part of the renaming.

Then the renaming should go on.
