Question about Inventory Types in WM: Manual (MA) or Continuos (PZ) in LI01n?

Does anyone can tell me the diffence between to choose in t-code LI01N Inventory Type Manual (MA) and Continous (PZ)? Which possible consequences or effects could cause select one or other?
