Dear All,

By using linux server with oracle database is it possible to define the repository and the FTP by SRM server side, because the SRM-MDM configuration guide use as example Windows server with SQL database?

Hello:

Once the MDM is running on the Portal using MDM Portal content, you can configure it for SRM. It doesn't matter what the database/OS you are using

First thanks for your response, but we are going to use only SRM-MDM Catalog not MDM with EP.

I would like to know if we have to install FTP software in order to access the SRM-MDM Catalog from SRM server.

Hi Aklilu,

No.

The SRM-MDM Catalog is accessed by SRM via an http URL that is configured in the IMG activity Define External Web Services.

FTP can optionally be used by the MDM Generic Extraction Framework to get lookup data e.g. Currencies, ISO Codes, etc... to MDM.

Please have a look at the configuration guide for more details.
