Is there a version of MaxDB that would work with MII 14 on NetWeaver 7.31?

I apologize for such a random question, but as all you know we all get questions like this and I thought I would give your forum a try.  We have a few MII servers running with MSSQL, now management wants to know if Max DB would work and unfortunately my knowledge of Max DB would fit instead the D of DB and have room left over.  I understand this may not be an appropriate question for this area and again apologize, and you can just delete it.

Hi Jim,

Are you asking if MaxDB can be used as a system DB or do you want to connect to MaxDB using MII?

The answer in both cases is Yes. MII servers can run with MaxDB as backend.

In fact you can take a look at product availability matrix of SAP Netweaver Java application server to find out which database platforms are supported.

I had looked and looked in PAM but would always some how get off my path to MII & MaxDB. I certainly appreciate your response!           Thanks again, Jim
