EM integration with ECC

Hi,

As EM works with TM where propagation from FO/FB occurs at FU.However when we are setting up integration with ECC is there any propagation functionality/cascading which occurs from predessor to successor or vice versa.

Hi Dipak,

There is no propagation concept in SAP ECC instead it has extractors (EE, Control, Info, Tracking ID, Query, BO, Event Data, AOIS etc) which extracts data and send it to SAP EM system. However, there is no SAP EM update back to SAP ECC other than Acknowledge status update in table /SAPTRX/AOTREF or any specific design workflow to trigger/update process back to SAP ECC.

Hi Dipak,

I am not sure what you refer to with regards to predecessor/successor in ERP, but I can say that there is no propagation mechanism available there. Something like this only exists in SAP TM. If you integrate with other applications (like ERP), you have to handle this in EM (e.g. by rule set or by tracking IDs).
