Autogrow status Database

Hi experts,

Using Solution manager 7.1. SP 10 > workcenter "technical monitoring" > "alert inbox" > we see some alerts "autogrow status" in "red".

We do not have any clue what this means, because some of our Java/ABAP systems have status "green", and some have status "red" and the configuration of autogrow of the database is the same.

Does anyone have an idea why it's "red"?

see attachement for more information.

Hi Kenny,

You must MSSQL as you DB on managed system. Right ?

Autogrow status red should means that autogrow is disabled for data file.

Read is KBA,  171120 - Alert Monitor for SQL Server

Hi Divyanshu,

thanks for the quick reply.

Yes we are using MSSQL. We also thought this would be the problem, but autogrow is "ON" and there is enough space to grow.

What could this mean?

Hi Kenny,

It could also mean that autogrowth has occurred. Have a look at DBACOCKPIT or SQL Server Management Studio for the systems in question and check to see if databases, transaction logs, or TempDB have experienced autogrowth events.

Matt
