Unable To Launch PowerBuilder Classic 12.5-"Giving Error message & Auto Closing ."

Hello Team,

 

    We are the user license user of PowerBuilder Classic 12.5 & we are working on PowerBuilder in following environment.

  • OS                        :        Windows 7 Enterprise Service Pack 1 .
  • System Type         :         32 bit operating system.
  • PowerBuilder         :        PowerBuilder Classic 12.5

& also we have valid license key.

When we are launching PowerBuilder Classic 12.5 it's not opening , Giving Error message & Closing.

* Error message :

"The sybase sysam licence was not validated. You will be given a change the SySAM license. To help diagnose any problems, you can enable loging by adding the following to the PB.INI file. "

The development environment will now shut down. The license you selected will be used when you next run.

Description     

Steps to Reproduce:-

1) Launching PowerBuilder Classic 12.5

- Got an Error message alert box

"The sybase sysam licence was not validated. You will be given a change the SySAM license. To help diagnose any problems, you can enable loging by adding the following to the PB.INI file. "

2) Click Ok & Select Standalone Seat -Local License.

3) Click Next & Browse the .lic File.

4) Select Enterprise Edition & Click Next.

5) Click Finish.

6) Getting Error Message " Unable To Launch PowerBuilder Classic 12.5-"Giving Error message & Auto Closing ."

On Clicking of Ok, PowerBuilder is closing

Could You Please kindly help me out to resolve the issue ,  Your support/suggestions are highly appreciated and welcome.

Hi Prasanta;

    Assuming that the PB IDE was OK & active before ...

Hello,

Can you share the following info:

a) copy of your license file

b) run this DOS command and attach the ipconfig.txt file: ipconfig /all > ipconfig.txt

P.S.: Are you trying to use PowerBuilder remotely (using RDP or WTS)? If yes, Standalone Seat Local License (e.g. unserved license file) is not suitable for such kind of architecture.
