Solution Builder latest version

Hi

I'm installing the Rapid Deployment tool - the Solution Builder ADD-on... But we are struggling with the versions:

I can see tree versions:

BP_SOLBLD 70V4

BP_SOLBLD 70V9

BP_SOLBLD 71V2

So i tried to install the latest: BP_SOLBLD 71V2. But i can't i tells me that the prerequisites are wrong:

I really cannot understand this because we are on 740?

Well i installed 70V9 instead, but the consultants get an error message in the Solution Builder transaction telling them that the BP-SOLBLD version is too old?

So: any one who knows which version are the latest and how to get it?.

By the way - the text of 70V9 is "Best Practices Solution Builder on EHP5". but we are on EHP7...

Regards

Jakob

Hi Jakob,

please have a look at the note "Release Strategy for SAP Best Practices Package ABAP Add-ons" http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1301301

see chapter "Technical Add-On Availability"

Hi Oliver

Ok nice note but again it gives then two more questions to ask:

1. The note is stating:

BP-SOLBLD 70V9:

This is the technical add-on of the solution builder for SAP BAiO

(installation assistant / building block installer) for packages based

on "SAP NW 7.02", "SAP NW 731" and "SAP NW 740".. It is valid for:

    • SAP BP packages based on "SAP ERP 6.06"
    • SAP BP packages based on "SAP ERP 6.05"
    • SAP BP packages based on "SAP CRM 7.02"
    • SAP BP packages based on "SAP CRM 7.01"

So no BP-SOLBLD for SAP ERP EhP7??

2. And if BP-SOLBLD 70V9 is ok for EhP7 - why does the Solution Builder transaction come out with a message saying: "There is a newer release of BP-SOLBLD" available???

HI Jakob,

you can use BP-SOLBLD 70V9 for EHP7 unless there is a newer version available. At the moment there is no newer version available so the message its just a reminder to check if there is a newer version available.

Oliver
