Advice on Monitoring the SAP MII Data Buffer

Experts,

I am using the SAP MII Data Buffer for all MII to ECC communication.  I seek a way to monitor the Data Buffer, particularly for errors, without having to continuously refresh the Data Buffer viewer in the SAP MII Administration tools.  I seek general experience or advice, or...

Specifically:

• Is there a web service that can pull status of data buffer entries? (e.g. The Message Monitor has something that is quite useful:  /XMII/Illuminator?service=Monitoring&Mode=messages&content-type=text/xml&Duration=<hrs>)

• How do you drill into the actual request for each data buffer entry, historical or active?  (The SAP MII Data Buffer Monitor cuts off the message after ~500 characters.)
