cannot view dashboard in android tablet

Hi all,

I've just updated my samsung android tablet with the last version (4.1.2)

I've installed last version of Sap bi app. (6.1.5)

When i open the app i'm able to see only webi report no dashboard.

It seems that the sistem recognize my tablet as a phone. (in google play i see a message " develop for phones")

When i do the same operations in my ipad dashboard are visible.

Why? Connections, settings and Parameters are the same.

Thanks

Hi,

Can you specify your Android device. If its treated as phone then definitely dashboard will not work for you as dashboards are not supported on phone devices.

Thanks for your reply.

Actually i use a Samsung Galaxy note 10.1.(model GT-N8000).

But, since i have used the Sap Bi app 5.0 everythink was ok, after the upload to the 6.1.5 no dashboard available.

Can you suggest me the list of android device that support Dashboard.

I have find the attached list here http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/sbo41/en/61_mobiandr_user_en.pdf; ( page 13) no other device supported?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Matteo,

Though above table lists the devices used for full stack testing, it should work on other android devices as well.

Can you check if the document is assigned to 'Mobile' category?

(MOBI on IOS lists dashboard documents even if they are not assigned to Mobile category, which is not the case with Android)

Hi Matteo,

The list indicates the devices that are tested for Android Mobi App, all other devices are passed by reference and Mobi app functionalities are expected to work on them as well.

Hence, if your dashboard is not listed, there could be following reasons

- It is possibly not saved for mobile

- it may not be assigned to mobile category

Does that work for you?

Ashutosh
