Rail tracking with EM

Hi,

I am working on TM 9.1 and would like information on Rail wagon monitoring and empty wagon tracing also for business scenario related to creating a rail length with the wagons

But as part of rail monitoring , is it similar to resource tracking?

Hi Dipak,

You have to look for SAP EM Rail Car Management to achieve this for rail wagon monitoring or you can make custom to achieve for Rail Wagon Monitoring (how we do for Truck or Vessel) but it would be more custom development work based on client requirements.

so if I understand SAP EM Rail Car Management can be tracked as part of resource tracking functionality in that case, correct?

Have you checked Resource Tracking which is mentioned by Marco?  You can follow the document and customize as per client requirements.
