I like to clarify one thing.I have a stock transport order with 100 qty..I did delivery for 50 and PGI for 50 and then MIGO. After that delivery complete and final delivery indicator is checked in PO. When I try to do MIGO for rest of the item I get following message
Now I did the same thing for inter-company order ...Delivery,PGI and MIGO .First MIGO I did for 50 .After that delivery complete and final delivery box was checked. Now I tried to do MIGO again and it allowed me to MIGO for rest of QTY.This time I didn't get above message.
Any reason behind that ?
a STO process is within 2 parties in your own system
if pant A ships 100 and plant B receives 50, then still 50 are in-transit.
You can't just leave it there. A delivery complete indicator cannot clear in-transit stock.
with external vendors, you do not have any in-transit stock. if you receive less than ordered then the delivery complete indicator closes the order virtually, hence you get no item proposal in MIGO. However this message is not really an error, you can still do a receipt, you only need to set the flag for propose all items in the settings in MIGO transaction.

Jurgen,
I think your statement is contradicting with what's happening in the system.
In case of stock transfer (with in a company ) I created PO for 100...shipped only 50 and I received 50.Nothing is in stock in transit as I just shipped 50.But when I see PO it's delivery complete and final delivery indicator checked and I get message " No selectable items "
In case of inter-company with the same thing I can still receive rest 50 qty even though delivery and final delivery indicator is checked . I am not getting item proposal after I receive all of them not like the above case.
I did not follow exactly your example, I wanted to explain the difference between intra-company and external procurement.
Of course you cannot receive another 50 if you have not shipped them, this is just proving what said, in intra-company scenario it is a very tight business case with a field for in-transit stock at MARC record.
in inter-company the in-transit stock is just virtual, no quantity in the MARC field. It is just a calculated difference between issued and received when you see it in MB52 or MB5T reports.
This process is closer to the external procurement process (vendor in the header instead of plant) and this allows to receive a quantity even before it was shipped.
