Asking User ID & Password after SSO configuration in Portal 7.31

Hii,

I configured SSO from SAP Portal 7.31 to R3 server.It is working but the problem is it is asking user ID & Password after logging.

After entering user id & password we are able to access the applications.

I checked complete SSO configuration but didn,t found solution for this issue.

Please help us to solve this issue.

Hello Prabhat,

Sometimes this happens because the domain between the Portal and the backend systems is not the same. Could you please write the FQDN of both Portal and R/3 systems please? Which URL are you using to access to the Portal system? If you do a HTTP trace when accessing from the Portal to the R/3 you will see in the cookie the domain that is passed from the Portal to the R/3 system. This domain has to be the same or you have to have some kind of mechanism to tell the R/3 system that it has to accept the cookie from a different domain (for example a correct configuration on table httpurlloc), otherwise it wont work.

Also please note that the "No switch to HTTPS occurred" message can be a false message. We had the same issue in on of our landscape and the message has no relation with the problem, it is just a warning message shown when you try to use SSO between Portal and R/3 without HTTPS protocol and something on the configuration is not working correctly.

is the issue for all the ugusers.

is SSL configured ?

if yes, check the roles for the user in r/3 system.

if everything is correct, clear cache and delete history of browser and try

It means SSL is not configured, please configure SSL.

IF you have a requirement that when a user enters the URL , at that time SSO can be happen by Active Dirrectory
