Hi,

Are you using parameter service/hostname ? If yes,try to disable the parameter once and check again with restart of sapstartsrv.

Hi Abdul,

Could you check with SAP Note   877795 - Problems with sapstartsrv from Release 7.00 and 6.40 patch 169

and follow point 6 from it.Additionally follow SAP Note   1565645 - SAP composite note: sapcontrol

and perform the steps as well.

Gaurav

Hi Abdul,

Have you checked SAP Notes   1565645 - SAP composite note: sapcontrol

1872990 - various error messages related to incorrect resolution of localhost

If possible could you share host file for the system and make sure you localhost resolved as IP 127.0.0.1

Regards,

Gaurav

hi Rana,

please check the out of below commands.

>sapcontrol -nr 00 -function GetVersionInfo

GetVersionInfo

OK

>sapcontrol -nr 01 -function GetProcessList

GetProcessList

OK

>sapcontrol -nr 00 -function StartService SOL

StartService

OK

>sapcontrol -nr 00 -function StopService

StopService

FAIL: HTTP error, HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized

name, description, dispstatus, textstatus, starttime, elapsedtime, pid

while restart command is working fine

>sapcontrol -nr 00 -function RestartService

RestartService

OK

>\usr\sap\DAA\tmp\hsperfdata_SAPServiceDAA

Under above path, there is showing a file and this file created when sapstartsrv.exe occupied the process ID but it is not being deleted/rename until restart the DAA service.

>localhost entry in hosts file

there is no issue with entry of hosts file because localhost is being resolved.

You need to check instance number 97 instead of 00.

Dear Sunil,

Please check below output.

C:\>netstat -a -o -n | findstr "LISTENING" | findstr ":59713"

  TCP    0.0.0.0:59713          0.0.0.0:0              LISTENING       5192

the sapstartsrv.exe occupied this process id 5192.
