Hi,

I followed  below steps to config full trex search in DMS

1. Activate the "index release" for DMS on TA SKPR06

  2. Insert the document class DMS_PCD1 on transaction SKPR07 and

choose the correct language

  3. Start the reindexing on transaction SKPR07 for all necessary

languages (RSTIRIDX_REINDEX).

It will marked all related documents for indexing.

  4. check if you see on "marked documents" all documents dependend

on language. The index category should be displayed implicitly.

  5. start the indexing as background job (report RSTIRIDX) and check

if it works fine

  6. Schedule the report RSTIRIDX periodically

but still its not working please suggest where i am wrong/ or is any thing missing in above steps. please help.

Hi Aniruddha,

thanks a lot for the detailed screenshots. Could you please use the button "Test search" in transaction SKPR07 and use the same search term as in CV04N. Is there a result displayed? Because if there is no result I think that the index is not created correctly or no file with a 't' in its text is indexed.

Christoph

No, I meant the error message raised in SKPR07. CV04N returns this message because the fulltext search (same as in SKPR07) does not return any hit.

Hi,

thanks for the details. I think that this is the reason why the indexing is not working fine. The RFC connection to your TREX server must work without problem. I think that this needs to be discussed with your TREX admin.

Hello Christoph,

In my case even the RFC connection to TREX server is working fine. There is no error displayed. As per my assumption ,I think creating Index category in tcode SKPR07 seems to be a challenge. Every document need to have a index category assigned which in turn helps for searching the relevant documents/attachments.Please share your thoughts and also help me in creating index category.

Thanks

Praveen
